Dr. Jian-Bo Wan is currently a Professor at the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences (ICMS) and The State Key Laboratory of Mechanism and Quality of Chinese Medicine, University of Macau. He received his B.S. degree in Pharmacy from Wuhan University in 2001, and his Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences from the University of Macau in 2008. Then, he moved to Massachusetts General Hospital, an affiliated hospital of Harvard Medical School as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow from 2008 to 2011. His current research interest mainly focuses on quality research in Chinese Medicine, chemical derivatization strategy for mass spectrometry-based lipidomics and metabolomics, and pharmacological study on Chinese Medicines for the prevention of metabolic diseases, including fatty liver and atherosclerosis. Dr. Wan has published over 220 peer-reviewed SCI papers, including Nat. Commun., Acta Pharm. Sin. B, Chem. Eng. J., Redox Biol., Arterioscler. Thromb. Vasc. Biol., Anal. Chem., with a total citation of over 8,000 times and an H-index of 52 (web of science).
