Director’s Message
As Director of the Institute of Chinese Medical Sciences and the State Key Laboratory of Mechanism and Quality of Chinese Medicine, I am honored to lead a team of dedicated scholars and researchers committed to advancing scientific innovation and education in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Our mission is to integrate the profound heritage of TCM with the rigor and precision of modern science and technology. Our institute brings together a diverse and talented academic and research team, students, and administrative professionals, all united by a shared passion for discovery in the field of TCM. Through an interdisciplinary research approach, we explore the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying TCM therapies, continually pushing the boundaries of scientific knowledge. Supported by world-class facilities and cutting-edge experimental platforms, we maintain strong and extensive collaborations with leading research institutions worldwide, fostering a dynamic environment for academic exchange and scientific progress. Our ultimate goal is to deepen the scientific understanding of TCM, elucidate the material basis and mechanisms of Chinese medicines, and develop innovative therapeutic strategies and pharmaceuticals that enhance human health. At the same time, we remain committed to contributing to the economic development and moderate diversification of Macao.
